Saw my first flock of bwt for this season! I believe they were cruising to central america, noting their speed and direction. For a moment the hellish heat abated. Skeeters were tolerable, even as there was no breeze. Good scouting!

"Fringes of the big water" he replied. Maybe they were just UAP?

Saw 3 flocks of about 20 in one of our local areas. they even sat down so hopefully still be around by the weekend. But my woodduck hole is holding a bunch as of yesterday.

As much as I love shooting/eating bwt, would love to see a couple of resident Aix sponsa- they have been absent for several seasons. I have the thermacell ready, may sleep restfully tonight but not tomorrow. My best wishes to all! God willing and the creek don't rise!
