Gotta love that first winter hunt. Last year it was an outright blizzard and just my son and I. This year five of us and we finished with 15 in about an hour. East wind blowing pretty hard and snow starting while we were picking up. Small groups of birds coming nonstop. Easy shots nice and close. Wings locked and committed.

Thanks! We learned a long time ago, our best hunts were when we spent extra time hiding our blinds.
True! Now with snow on the ground, get out the snow covers and choot’m.

Most of our fields are like they get mowed and rolled , flatter than my yard .
Still yellow, but no height to it at all . Not much true chisel plowing, but some have been lighter worked , disked ? I'd have never figured it up but geese and ducks both seem to prefer the worked fields.
Had some really great hunts in that black stuff .
Our old trick ain't as effective as it once was though. Might have to go old school again ,but it's not comfortable!1
You guys did have them blinds good from my perspective though.
