Hunters (SW Oklahoma) discovered four (4) Whooping Cranes that had been shot and now the OFWC & USFS is investigating. If some commercial outfitter is found to be responsible, IMO they should be quartered and drawn.

Not in the juvenile phase I believe. Mortal fear kept us from shooting even Sandhills unless they were standing. Using buckshot was legal I believe.

You'd be surprised how efficient the USFS is at finding outlaws when it comes to these kinds of violations of protected federal species... Those responsible will get their just desserts.
