No lofty goals.........just to be able to get out in the marsh 15 or 20 times and enjoy my 66th season chasing these sob's.
At this stage of the game all I'm really looking for is a "participation" trophy,.........a full game bag is not all that important.
You guys have a fun and safe season

1. Hunt 20 days and be productive.
2. Band for sure. I only have one in my life at 72 YO.
3. Sandhill crane tag for TN.
4. SBE 28 gauge in 3". We have one on order for our DU table.
5. Acquire boat #3 with long tail mud motor.
6. Scout more.

Back to Sakachawn this year now that the boarder is open. This will allow me to catch up with friends from Key West and Indiana which is always a good time. Garrett will be going with me for his first time hunting Canada as well.

Will chase waterfowl in Montana now the dividends are paying off on taking as many youth out a few years back. They are growing up and young men now calling to schedule me to hunt with them. Glad to be a part of getting some of them into the sport when they grew up in a non sporting family.

Add more DSD snows to the spread and a second trailer.

Congrats on getting your boy out into the field.

Nice boat!!! What did you power it with?
We’re loving the new boat! We powered it with 2022 Mercury Pro XS 150hp. Some would say it’s overpowered but the only reason I went with 150hp was because they didn’t have 200! We started getting it all grassed up today!

Last year we were moving so I did not get to hunt. This year I would like to hunt ducks again but have to find a place , reaquire equipment etc. I might change direction and do predators, grouse, and maybe deer. We will just have to see. I have options I just have to start working on them.

I am retired, so main goal is to enjoy my lab and weekday hunts.
31 days in Alaska, then driving down the Alcan the first week of October.
Mostly chasing MT roosters every weekday until the end of December,
with occasional duck/goose hunts to give the lab a break until mid-January.
Hope to get another lab puppy this spring.

More solo hunts, take a few different fowl with an older sxs gun I acquired. Try to stop over thinking things. Enjoy every sunrise and every opportunity.

I expect to shoot my 251st banded waterfowl in NJ this season. It would be a great season if I don’t get accosted by law enforcement personnel.
