Me too. I think most generals and admirals are more political hack than warrior. They certainly go to the same schools, war colleges, etc. They think alike and not outside the box.

yeah. where is that in the constitution tho? the federalist papers leave me a little confused too. but in the end the constitution is the law and that ain't in it. what is is the ability of the govt to call you up to do what it says. fight insurrection. if you dont there are penalties.

I still remember reading a long time ago that Madison wrote the 2nd that it was “our” duty to overthrow a tyrannical gov’t and reinstall one more in line to the Constitution. And it IMO doesn’t fall under the NG.
