And if you go there before the ice freezes, you can see Polar Bears in the daytime.

I'm in California right now, but the Northern Lights showed up in Wyoming last week and I heard it was awesome ! It's the LAST thing on my bucket list and I missed it from my backyard, maybe next time, I've heard it's an extraordinary experience.

There is some kind of major solar flare that happened within the last couple of days that they said would cause fantastic northern lights. Thanks for showing the pictures, natures best light show.

I live across from a hospital. I saw some lights but thought they had the helicopter lights on. If I see anything tonight, I'll go out for a look.
The last time I saw them was mid-October, 2004, while I was night electrofishing for walleye on the Mississippi River.

Want to see a lightning bug someday, that and bluegrass.

Chris, do you ride into Churchill on polar bears?

No, not really. Lived in Churchill for a couple months guiding Beluga Whales tours on Hudson Bay and the Churchill River. Also have done a little bit of hunting up there. Seen Polar Bears almost every 2nd or 3rd day. Incredible place to live if you like the outdoors. Its like nothing you have ever experienced!

I use the "Aurora" app. It's actually pretty good!

Full Disclosure: I set phone camera on night mode, held the camera still and let it take its picture. The camera picture was much better than the actual view, I was surprised.

We had a good show here in central Wisconsin, been a while since I have seen the northern lights
