aythya collaris sightings

    So in the time between hunts I've been getting some fishing in on the beach. Noticing flights of ducks headed south but not sure what they are. Most have been few hundred yards off the beach, low flying, dark bodies. Boynton area. No idea where they would even go to the south, guess they're lost.

    Saw a couple thousand ring necks in west central Florida last day of the November hunt. A buddy of mine got a male gadwall. Didn’t see many teal like we are used to. Looking to find some more spots around central Florida. Has anyone had any luck in the clermont area?

    I've been seeing the same flock of 50-70 Black Scoters in the indian river for 3 weeks now.

    What you see is unknown...but...Blue wing teal fly down to Puerto Rico and Cuba....

    First ring necks spotted. Showed up Friday, seen more mystery ducks over the ocean Saturday. Some kind of diver.

    Son saw the first flock while gator hunting last week in October....15- or 20

    there are more than a few around...good to see them back!

    doing great! except I went and got another job in Brevard Co. now trying to find time off from that job to make it to the lake more often. will be down there all of the opening week. let me know if you still make your Jan pilgrimage to the lake and will give you intel! all the best my friend.
