Anyone been to Ballard WMA and seen the front Slough lately? They are holding a few ducks right now.

Have not had the chance to get out and scout yet. Good to hear there are some birds around

I think the work was way over due. Hopefully boatwright will be next

I don't know if that is in future plans or not right now.
Biggest thing is getting the pumps for the north end of Ballard so that water can be pumped down hill instead of up hill. Plus putting in new water control structures at several needed sites. The front slough looks so much different with the lower of water this summer and all of the Walter's millet (a variety of banyard grass) that came up after they sprayed the button brush and lotus's.

I don't really want food in front slough where I can't hunt. Give them a lake to loaf and sleep but don't give them everything they need there. Make em move for something.

Boatwright needs water control.
