Waiting for Nighthunter2 to chime in.
1 wood duck
The wood duck was banded off of the Columbia River in Washington 2 years prior to me shooting in the Delta.
My blind partner shot a double banded woody from Chris Nicolai’s banding project near Fallon, Nevada.
My best (or worst) band story happened 4 or 5 years ago. It was my birthday and I was hunting with a good friend at a club near Yolo. We were having a nice shoot when a pair of mallards came in from out front. We both pull up and he kills the drake on his side while I proceed to miss the drake on my side. My buddy swings over to the bird I missed and killed it clean as it was making its retreat. It was banded.
My bucket list
The only kind of bird that is "Banned" from my strap are mostly divers...thanks for asking!
Mallards, teal, a hen redhead and honkers. Kept a green band years ago because didn't know better. A bunch of sage grouse. The furthest was Montana to here in NV
