Bath

    I,ll give mine a bath usually after waterfowl season is over. Of course most of the year she's overboard weekly anyway retrieving dummies. I presumed shampooing would strip some of the oils from dogs coat allowing it to get colder quicker during winter water work, am I wrong?

    We went thru allegy hell with Milo.
    We tried every type of food and nothing worked. So we tried antifungal baths and that failed too.
    What helped? Just getting him wet at the lake or river. Something about muddy water is very very good for labrador retrievers imo. That's just opinion.

    mine is a hunting machine and chased ribbons. lives in the house, on the bed, couch or wherever she wants. least i can do for her short time here. she gets a bath maybe twice a year. i aint ruining the natural oils of the coat. its an oatmeal bath when it happens. a bath is swimming in the pond...
