Pretty sure that lil’ lady on the right is a cross dresser.
Looks like there's a growing demand for your battle coots, your going to be famous.
They look kind of mean and evil
I'm pissed I left him behind opening morning.
Every tank I ever drove had chevrons on the side.
How about a "Gunny" coot in honor of F. Lee Ermy?
Today Battle Coot participated in Operation Arrowhead. The calendar and moon cycle indicated there was a strong possibility of a ringneck migration coming through this area.
Unfortunately that did not materialize. Instead it was local juvenile mallards and birds still in eclipse. So with two hens in hand it was decided the better part of valor is knowing when to call it a day and they chose a tactical withdrawal.
R. Lee Ermey. Sorry
Couple more weekend submissions from the Battle Coot Nation.
The first was seen setting a snare along the Canadian border. It was explained to him that snares were not legal for Waterfowl. He reluctantly went back to normal methods.
This one found a pair of border jumpers all the way down in Central MN cruising the river.
The others were keeping diver decoys in line on the calm side of a point in 25mph winds.
It should be noted, as my daughter pointed out, that Battle Coot is undefeated.
This is so cool that ducks die over such un realistic decoys!! Makes me want to make a few!
