White clover doesn't make nectar except when it's 80-85F. It can bloom all it wants but by the time it does that here it's 90 every day.
Haven't had a good clover honey crop in years.

Well sonovabeech. It was in the 90s today and bees were in the clover.

Maybe they got on it before it quit and didn't get the message to stop.
Recruitment happens pretty fast I dunno about abandoning a source.
Probably takes time.

It got to 65 the last two days and the bees from the hives they bring in for the berry fields were very very active. Way more than when it was 55. They have blueberries on one side and raspberries on the other so it is a target rich environment.

They have been placing the beehives here the last week or so. Already hitting a few with the truck. Didn’t see much activity today though. Of course it was raining, snowing and in the 30s.

Got a call yesterday to remove a swarm, literally 7 feet off the ground, up to 8 hives now. Nowhere near enough supers built

Our hives are having a very good year, adding supers.
Right now they are mostly on Blackberry blossoms.
We plan to harvest some honey soon.

Have one that's queenless..is OK I did a split three weeks ago that's due . 4-way. One will be the new queen for the bad one.
Wait a week n see.
Way behind schedule the spring is slow to get going. Tons of bees bring on the flow

Man this weather...
Hard to believe it but there is a trickle of nectar coming in along with pollen.
It's not right but this is the forecast.

Usually it's warmer and it's a flow not a trickle.

Counted and have 37+ supers in production. Never enough I'm scrounging thru deadouts to find empty boxes.
