I am not local- but I ate at Benavido's(sp?) once (it was right next door to the Brunswick). Food was ok, more authentic-ish vs a Las Margaritas style place. Had a cockroach crawl across the booth...

Just next door to the east of the Leprachan grocerey store is a killer mom and pop shop. We ate there all the time after goose hunting.

When we are over fishing or hunting, we almost always eat at the Casa Mexicana. It is a few blocks west of Walmart on E Main Street. We've eaten there for maybe 20 years, and have always had good food.
