Credit cards are being hit for big game permits. Did anyone draw anything good? I wasn't lucky enough to draw a lmited entry permit, but did get a Cache deer permit... better than not hunting at all.

The once-in-a-lifetime hunt draws ended April 30th
We put in for 5 hunts,
$950.00 as a resident was kind of a budget killer, Bur we have about a 5 in 13 chance:grvn

I'm surprised about the number of people I know that did not draw a Cache general unit any weapon deer tag. It has traditionally been an easy tag to draw. I'm curious to know if the number of tags was reduced or an increase in applications.

I was just thinking of maybe a over the counter deer tag as an option but I doubt I will make it up there. What I did find interesting is that you can also use the non-res deer tag for mountain lion, black bear or gray wolf as long as that season is open in that area.

I pushed for allowing the wolf tag trade: that a few years ago, and a few others jumped on the band wagon glad to see it includes all the big predators
I also pushed for keeping the kid prices low , but Idaho has a lot of whiners about the way the state manages game

Im not sure why residents cant swap out. Maybe because those that buy the sportsman's license have a bear lion and wolf included.

One brother drew the Wasatch muzzy elk tag last year. The other brother drew it this year.

It's going to be a good time!

I've enjoyed going on hunts with my buddies that have drawn. Probably more than they have because I haven't felt the pressure of 18 yrs. of waiting to draw the tag.
