whats going on with Trinity?

refuses to go up
Yup plenty of snow up there, it hasn't been effected by warmer rains like farther south in the state.. plenty of pack around it.
It also has small watershed compared to other reservoirs of its size in Northern California.
The watershed that drains into Trinity is 688 sq mi
Shasta 6665 sq mi
Oroville 3607
Folsom 1885

Berkeley snow lab on Donner summit is saying we are now tied for the record in snow pack set in 1982. More snow is forecast for the next week.

We have had lots of warm rain up here, like elsewhere, melting the snow off pretty good around the house, Oroville has come up 3.1 feet in the last 11 hours, inflow at 72,806 cfs., out flow at 15,581 cfs. Upper Sac River is on a good rise, forecast to be 66.1 at the Colusa bridge Thurs., (up about 21') Colusa weir going to 5.3 ft., and Tisdale going to 3.4 Thurs. Be careful boys, safe travels.

McClure and Don Pedro are releasing 8000 cfs and still going up almost 2 foot a day.

New Melones isn't releasing anything, they have lots of room.

Shasta had just under 90k inflow earlier and crossed the 3mil AF mark. Oroville has 80k incoming and they're bumping the releases to 20k in the am. LOTS of water coming down the hills. Glad we have a reprieve until next week!

and yet only 63% of full house capacity. Sorry but it bugs me when the talk is about elevation and not volume.
Inflows are now at 73K cfs--its filled up 5% of its capacity since Saturday. That's crazy. I would expect Shasta to be at 90% within the next month/month and a half if they ever let it get that full.
