We have one wet winter that bails us out, farmers should get 100% so they can make up a little for last year, but municipal and watering lawns etc, you just want to run it back like nothing happened and have nothing in reserve. Then the idiot has press conference as says going to end the call for 15% water conservation as a target. Why? I the wells run dry which supply a good chunk of the cities in CA, we are in big trouble. This winter just kicked the can down the road, we still have more water demands than we have water. I walk dogs night and day, and have couple idiot neighbors watering lawn morning and night even though it is raining most days. We don't have an abundance of water and the aquifers that supply most cities are still significantly overdrafted but in his run for president he wants to claim he solved every problem including the drought. State is run by idiots.

In two years we will be in the same place as 6months ago.
Not if they had built more Reservoirs and enlarged the ones we have. 40 years without a major reservoir built and the population has doubled. If the state had done its job there would be enough water for everything. Liberal Corrupt stupidity.

It is scary to think where we will be in another 40 years.

Let's see, over 200% snowpack water content and 75% deliveries. Must be that new math. I smell lawsuits coming if it doesn't magically go to 100% next month.

We have had since 2012 or so, maybe 3 good water years and the rest have been 50-60% at best, so while 200% plus this year, probably down 4 years of rainfall the other few years so in last decade probably short one or two years worth of rain, so while this year is a great shot in arm and helps fill reservoirs and aquifers it does not make up for the shortfalls.

We've lost 95% of our wetlands.
Can someone enlighten me how this "aquifer" regenerates itself with a 95% reduction?
You dont/cant/won't regenerate an aquifer in 3months.
