This weekends expected heavy rain with blustery winds should show alot of specks continuing south overhead, SW Washington area. I saw a few on my property the other day mixed with a bunch of cranes. I love anticipating there first big flight south

Well so far no big flight of specks but I did see a flock of cacklers fly over the house.
Took the dog for a run on the state land this evening after work and he pushed up 3 pheasant , today was the youth hunt. He was so excited that his time of year has finally arrived.

That made me smile. My dog is too old to hunt and I really miss him.
