Other than the 20k fine, i'd say he got off pretty light.

That was "Strike 2", if he gets caught a third time maybe they'll throw the book at him?

Pretty balzy, especially after the 1st conviction. And yea, he got off light. I would have expected hard time.

3 years from now there will be a thread on the Fuge about how this guy is a good guy that’s paid his dues and everyone should forgive him.

A few of us hunted with him a few years back. What you saw of him on TV was not him in person. He was arrogant and very impressed with himself. What struck us at the time was the place he took us to hunt 'flooded timber' and the odd mixture and number of duck species that came through that morning. In retrospect I'd bet it was baited. We stayed in his lodge as well. None of us ever saw walls covered in real 'wall to wall' and floor carpeting. It was weird.
We've been on more than a few guided hunts all over the US and Mexico. Spending another trip with him is not on the list.
'And yes - he should have done time. Pretty much anyone is entitled to make a mistake - not two for the same thing. He figured he was above it all.

He sure did admit to a lot of things. Loose lips sink guides who are schmitts.

I had one experience with him and yes he is an arrogant d.... he pulled into our spread on the harbor and wanted know who we were and what we were doing there, like he owned the whole thing. real douche, he should do time.

but in retrospect there's alot of corn on the water in that area.
