Black bellied whistling duck

    They’re hear. Saw several pairs flying around an area I farm by Duck Creek CA and Mingo NWR.

    That’s wild. I didn’t know they’d come this far north.

    They’re bigger than a mallard, fly slower and aren’t skiddish of humans. That said, they’ll have to fly faster and wise up or they will be eradicated by the hunters down here. Their table fairness will be tested, if they hang round till season. I guess the limit will be 6? I’m ready for pink legs on my strap.

    That would be really cool to have one on the wall. I wish you could get us a professional photograph or 10 of them.
