I should have said I used a conduit bender on mine, made the start/finish of the rectangle end in the middle, used 3/4" for frame, took 1" and mad "T's" 6" on the top,6-8" on the bottom for hinges, ground out a v into the top of the verticals so the top fit better, and welded those. Slid those (2) over the 3/4 at the break, then welded it. You can weld a tab on the side of the hinge, facing inside of blind (horizontal) and put one on the frame, indexed so it lines up, over drill a hole, weld on a nut above it, for 1/4" bolt for angle adjustment. Drive 3/4" pieces about 18" long into the ground, slide the "hinges" over.

I was in a roll top blind not long ago. My knees were equal to my head. Could barely stand up when ducks came

Wrong height from the blind I'm 6'2 have no problem. Now if your 6'5 or more I can see a problem but heck we leave it half open till birds work.

Thanks for all the input. We currently have hog panels with grass from the check that we use but there is always room for improvement. I just wanted to get some input on a different setup to see if it would be an improvement over what we have.

Got rid of the flippy covers this year and went naked. Covered the dirt with thick layers of straw. Nothing but full body decoys around the blind and large bundles of water grass or johnson grass lying between hunters and around corners to make the black hole smaller. Adjust blind stool as low as she goes. Eye level with the edge of the tank. Worked great. I have a bunch of flip covers for sale!

My second favorite way until it's pouring all morning.
