Since I’m new, here are a couple photos from New Years’ hunt in the MS delta. We finally got enough rain and the ducks showed up to the new water immediately.

Kind of amazing how quick they found the new water. Got 4 inches of rain throughout the day on the 29th, and had 200 mallards and 100 woodies feeding in our main WRP hole the next morning.

All iced up except for a small pond holding hundreds of geese. Set up shells on the ice away from the pond to shoot birds on the swing and it worked better than I could have hoped! Always love managing to make something out of nothing.

Mallard x Mottled duck hybrid “an extra big duck in my freezer today”

If you zoom in on this last picture, you can see some green behind the eye. In central Florida they are very common down here in the Everglades, much less common.
