    I've had the same one on my mathews since I bought it in 2006. I swear every year I'm gonna change it.......

    When things start slipping. If you are noticing your peep rotating it's time. Really comes down to how much you shoot, and make sure you don't leave a bow in your vehicle or anywhere it can get hot.

    I go through a set of strings in 2 years, sometimes faster. But I shoot a lot.

    Hopefully you wax it regularly.

    I'm shooting recurves and rarely, if ever, change them. I watch up at the nocks for wear. I roll my own too. I do have spares made up though.
