Two day season for the guys up north it looks like. Continued decline in Brant #s is of concern however. Hope everyone has a good hunt this Saturday.
Looks like we might be in tee shirts and getting tans looking at weather report.
Made up another dozen Y-Boards as I love the visibility.

That sucks that Brant numbers are down. Seems like an irreversible trend?

I love your Y-boards, Rick. And I know from firsthand experience that the Brant love them, too! :yes

been waiting and waiting for the WDFW News Release if there will be additional dates in Skagit County. Two of us limited on Padilla, took all day. I know of a couple other groups that also limited . For awhile Saturday, the fog was so think, could barely see the decoys.

Bird numbers seemed pretty good to me. Lots of small scattered flocks. First limit by 7:40, second by 8:45. Spent the morning waiting on the 12 year old hit something and playing with ducks. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day on the water.

We shot 5 brant on Saturday. Saw lots of birds. I just believe the birds are starting to spread out more in the greater area vs. just Padilla and Samish Bay. Quite a few brant to the north of us as well.
