I talked about this on the last browning thread.. a buddy had a older browning gold where the finish turned into a gummy sticky mess...he tossed in the back of his safe and bought a new gun..

I told him he should get a hold of customer service because I had read where they were working with people on this problem ...

Long story short the other day he got his old gold back... said it looked like a new gun... happy guy for sure

I am seriously considering taking the leap for a 3” 12 Auto-5. Talk me in from the ledge.:doh

Shoot a Maxus and avoid the ledge.

Browning has excellent customer service. Number of years ago bought a BP 12 GA. 3". Nothing but problems, sent in 4 times for repair finally wrote a letter telling how I was deeply disappointed I was with their product. About 4 weeks later a brand new 1200 BP arrived via ups. Of course had to return the other one but great customer service. For sure a browning customer.

I think it was 3/4 months. I can ask him if you want

Thanks Mark, no need to ask.
    Sounds like a quick turnaround.

Have one in for the same issue. They quoted 4 months.

It sounds like the Dura-Touch issue I had with my A-Bolt II and Maxus (sold to my blind partner). The A-Bolt II took about four months. The Maxus a bit less.

I previously had wood stock cracking issues on my Gold Hunter, twice. Browning took care it both times.

I am pleased with the results and Browning's customer service.
