As always... going to a new area.
    Scouting pre-season.
    Killing waterfowl on my own.

I've done guided sea ducks in Boston with Capt Adam Smith. We formed a great friendship

Hunted Habitat Flats with Tony and Aaron & his Dad.

I've Hunted with Tim, Hunter, and Kelly Powers at Tim's Honkerville lodge,

I've done a couple of guided days in the Sac Valley. ( Highly recommend RJ Waldron)

I had great days with all the above... but I feel like a shooter not a hunter at the end of the day.

Come on down to N.C. You could do both in the same morning.

I've shot bows a fair amount, and I've killed a few deer with one. Like golf, shooting a bow bores the hell out of me. For that matter, shooting rifles does too. It seems the older I get the less patient I am.

Agreed. People who bow hunt deer hunt flooded corn. Archery is for nerds.

How hard are the swan permits to draw?

How much do they cost NRs?

To the guys that mentioned the Platte River and anyone else wanting to hunt it, the Platte is good through central Nebraska but the North Platte above Lake McConaughy into Wyoming is even better and more reliable.

Great Salt Lake duck hunt, Mexico duck hunt, east coast sea duck hunt and Argentina are what is left. Most of the other duck and goose hunts in the states and Canada I am good. A good pheasant hunt in the Midwest (native not planters) is the other thing I plan to do.

Is trolling an offensive term here now?
