Although they seem to be everywhere this year, I have only shot 2 bull sprig this year....the last one last Saturday afternoon. It was so fun as the flock worked my son's calling - AND no one else was around to 'interupt' their flight.

My son also got his bull after we watched them work and circle 4 times until they were over the decoys.....I will remember that for a long time to come. What a beautiful bird....we are lucky as hunters to watch them fly.

I know showing a picture with just the one bird is no big deal...but to me - it is priceless.

Only been 2 for me too this year. Great picture Rick. I like the lighting.

IMO no duck rivals watching a group of pintail circle your spread 4,5,6,7+ times and to have them finally commit. Talk about anticipation & patience.

Great picture, and I've only "got" one bull sprig this year - Didn't even shoot it though, as the dog found a lively crip while I was "visiting" a nearby tule patch.
