Do you think it is a coincidence that one of the first presidential primaries is in Iowa? Go up there and point out the abomination Ethanol is and see what happens!

Pick a fight with the Farm Bureau and you'll wish you'd picked on a herd of Honey Badgers instead.

And still doesn’t change the fact ethanol is horrible economically and environmentally. It needs to go.

For all the trash I hear talked about crawfish ponds, they sure are holding a lot of ducks right now. King Spoonies had me wanting to risk everything on Easter Sunday.

Y'all just keep reassuring yourselves, if it makes you feel better, but it won't make 'em better habitat.
I know it's not the best "habitat" for fowl but I'd doubt it's fowl's kryptonite.

Seems many middlemen stopped buying crawfish a week or so ago. Lots of trailer loads popping up on FB for $25 a sack. The demand is either not there due to the economy, or the market is flooded. Strange this happening during lent.

Couldn't sell.

Doubt what you will, Dave. But I'll continue to doubt the flooded corn you're so mad at has had remotely the same impact on what once were our ducks and geese that crawfishing has. Lots of parts to the puzzle, but it's beyond silly to discount crawfishing's role.

Some of our guys are bitching about price but most are still selling to their wholesalers, instead of individuals, and retail on what we boiled last weekend was $2.50.

I agree 100% the fact that crawfish ponds suck for waterfowl due to depth and disturbance, but they do use those from time to time. That is all I was saying. Corn in the water is a great attractant.
