Exactly.
Much would be the same if Trump was in there now. I had no particular problem with Trumps' policies until he started trying to subjugate the other branches to the executive and become king. Everything he did as he was losing and then lost the election proved my suspicions about him were right. Had he won we would be looking at a power play to allow a third term right now.
Both guys were to old for the office last time and way to old this time.

You didn't really answer why Americans are better under Biden vs Trump, you just restated you don't like Trump.

And wasn't there a senator or Congressman that tried to get legislation voted on to allow a third term for Obama?

Doubtful. If his policy was so effective, the refineries would already be in place. The ramp up for the post-pandemic recovery would be taking place with a lame duck president and a probable Democrat in the office next. The long range green conversion isn't going away, either.

Why don't you read up on Black Rock Investments and ESG. Maybe explain how before Black Rock took over Exxon by way of Proxy votes, Exxon's corporate plan was to increase oil production by 25% and after the Black Rock's take over the plan is to reduce oil production by 25%. Maybe explain how the clintons are involved in Black Rock. Maybe explain how Black Rock now has its eyes set on Shell. Maybe there's more to see than orange man bad when talking talking about world energy policy. Maybe just look into ESG in itself and how it effects the worlds economy via pressures applied to companies that consume or produce fossil fuels. Maybe..........!

I'd like to challenge folks to present an un-photoshopped picture of Harriet Tubman showing how that a hair pick would have been a part of her typical daily hair care.
When was the afro-pic invented and commercialized? Late 1950s - early 1960s? What does that inanimate object have to do with the celebration of Juneteenth? If you want to go that route why not a statue of broken shackles and chains?

Or how about a statue of Blanch Bruce or of Frederick Douglass or of Robert Smalls?

This just shows your lack of understanding on how the refinery systems works.

While it is true that environmentalists and democrats in general have blocked every effort to build refineries since the 1970s, they were handling the load under Trump, why not now?

For the same reason gas went up high under Obama.

The EPA has very strict guidelines and they basically have the refining process so over regulated that the oil companies are forced to produce a number of formulations, each micro engineered to produce lower emissions on very small regions. Precise factors like altitude are factored in to produce the lowest emissions possible. Just a slight change in average altitude can cause a different formulation to be used in a couple of counties here, and require a very slight change for the next country over. The amounts of emissions we are talking about are inconsequential, but it is all done do lower emissions. While that is a laudable endeavor, the amounts of emissions that are being regulated are miniscule. By loosening regulations, it allows the refineries to produce larger batches of fuel which vastly increases production from the same refinery.

Trump loosened these regulations, the refineries started producing more product and along with increased domestic production caused fuel prices to plummet overnight.

My Dad (an Independent) said that same thing about Ronaldo Magnus (Ronald Reagan) in that he was too old, but he still did GREAT things for this Country!
He did. But he also sucked in his final years and left a lot that Bush Sr. would get blamed for.

Blaming Trump for being unable to snap his fingers and overcome decades of leftist EPA obstruction in the courts is clear proof you can't fix stupid.
Didn't blame him. Said things wouldn't be much differant if he was in there. We're only a year and a half out from his policies.
