Hi everyone,

Not sure if there is any interest, but I am Canadian Firearms Instructor and will be teaching a non-restricted Firearms course on Feb 18th in Winnipeg. For those of you that travel to Canada to hunt it makes crossing the border that much easier and less of a hassle. If you are interested, just DM me and I can get you the info.

Chris, never hunted up there but looking to try Saskatchewan this fall. I’m not familiar with this course, what is the benefit? Or how does it help with border crossings?

You can gat a PAL license. It allows you to take your gun across at no cost. If you don't have one you will pay $25 Canadian for each gun every year. I is good for 5 years or so. They notify you when it will expire and will issue a new one at no cost.

Further to what Ken said, it also makes the border crossing that much easier. I've heard stories of guys getting their vehicle ripped apart if the border patrol doesn't like the answers you are giving. Having a Canadian Firearms License makes this border process that much easier as it shows you have everything in order and have a license to process those firearms in Canada.

Is there a website where I can find details, cost , time, location, etc?

I have had a PAL since they first came out, so wasn't sure about how many guns for $25.

Don't have a website with that information, but DM and I can fill you in on the details.
Chris it sounds like a good deal to me. Do I have to “come” to a course or is this an “on-line” thing I can do with you.
Incapacitated temporarily for a time, so don’t want that to be an issue. Appreciate your help with this project.
