Ive had my fair share of mounts, but with the dust of a fireplace they simply turn to dust collectors.
That being the case I go a little outside the box with my cheapskate mounts.
12+yo snow i killed this year, stands on its own sporting bling on the mantle.
Any cheapskates out there?

My oldman was a cheapskate. My 1st duck and pheasant were done just like that. The pheasant had the tail fand out behind it . The duck was just a drake wood duck head on a plague.
I think it's in a tote in the basement , I'll try to look this weekend.

My dad used to cut off the heads of big Northern Pike and let him dry all summer long.
I tried squirrel tails for years and then eventually sold him the mepps

My biggest fish (smallmouth Bass) I ever caught I let an amateur taxidermist do it & looked like it! It was only 5#-4 oz. but it was my biggest fish (Ont. Canada) I ever caught.
