Chincoteague Reports

Does anyone have any reports for the Chincoteague Area? We will be leaving New Years day for a two day trip. I was invited on the trip and figured since I had never hunted this area I would give it a try.

I was there last week with a good guide...Same kind of weather they are expecting for you on New Years and the days to follow...It will be VERY slow!

I hunted there 12/29 & 30, it was very slow. We did however get 3 Canadas, 2 Brant, 2 Black Ducks, one of which had a regular band and a green $100 band. My hunting buddy killed the banded duck.

Hunted with Andy Linton on both days. Very warm and sunny. On 12/29 we killed 2 canada's, 2 brant, 3 mergansers and a buffle head.

On 12/30 we killed 4 brant (one was banded), a canada and a buffle head and it was 62 degrees at 11:30.
