i have used several different brands but don’t remember which is which. One brand gets very brittle and breaks usually where it’s wrapped around the edges of the keel. I don’t want to make the same mistake twice.

Any brands out there that have held up for you for years?

Been using Ande 100 lb test fishing line for puddle ducks and geese for years. Usually 8 foot or so per decoy with a bungee type L weight. 5 plus years at least on many with no issues. Works just fine and cheap to boot.

I have been using Tanglefree for about ten years and never had any break. Seems the breakage issue was with GHG brand and that was many years ago

Yep, GHG line cracked even if temps weren't cold. They fixed that issue long ago.

Thanks, I’ll start looking for bulk line as I need to replace a bunch.
