Closed door standing rib roast

    @da fowl slayer, have you ever done one of those rib roasts in your oil less fryer?
    My old roommates little bro is an amazing Chef, he deep fries a rib roast every Christmas.
    They turn out incredible.:yes:yes:yes:tu

    Just afraid to change it up and ruin that meat but I heard they are very good

    I hope my ham turns out like your grandmas !

    Mom, makes one that's pretty dag close but not quite the same, and we can't figure out why but it's still way better that I can do. I have no idea how moms can make everything taste so good, but they do.

    No doubt grandmas had it covered !!!!
    And they had the least to work with
    I remember my grandma asking me when I would be there honey you hungry ?
    Well yes!!! I would look in the fridge a cupboard and not see anything that looked worth eating

    1/2 hr later BAM!!!!!

    Followed the cooking instructions, had meat thermometer and oven thermometer. Had to do an extra 30 min at 225 to finish at rare. Maybe cause it was 11.8#?

    Did you let it get to room temp before cooking?

    Didn’t check beginning temp, let it set 2 hours at room temp. Not complaining, it was great. Thank you for the recipe!

    Next time add .5 and see how that works
    My ovens have been a little different at houses I’ve lived in

    glad you enjoyed it
    2 hrs was good for setting out
