Went out goose hunting tonight with my youngest brother and my two boys. Some punk high school kids shots up the roost pond this morning. Had the birds all messed up so we totally had to regroup and come up with a different plan for tonight. Got outta work today and had a text from my uncle stating that the farmer pulled the corn from behind his house today. We ended up going there. The birds got up at 6:07, shooting time for me was 6:05 of course. Had two fly in back flappin while picking up decoys at about thirty yards. Saw about ten mallards and maybe fifty woodies tonight as well. Couple hundred honks in total

I took an airman hunting for a week one year. He is in Minot taking care of our bombers. That's the highline ditch at the "crossroads"
    Hawkeye...

I'm impressed with the water weld product.
It works as advertised but I haven't tested it in ice and it will get tested that way. Was able to rebuild the missing bend. Forgive me but I forget what those ridges on a boat hull are called. Mine was all messed up so I used the epoxy to smooth it out. Found a second hole further forward. The rock hit boat, then trailer lens, then boat and damaged all three.
If or when that jb water weld fails I will post the rest of the story. It worked today. DNS'd again.
    Sigh.

Its dry. Lake is about 3 feet low. That log is usually half submerged.

That water is probably 80 F.
The "refuge". They roost in the "bath tub water" canal.
    Not that complicated.
You have to see it to believe it.
Nuclear power station. There are times where it makes its own weather.
About 30 yrs ago a duck hunter disappeared. All they found was his boat going in circles. Never found a body. Spooooky
They say he tried to take my spot. Hehe

In 1999 50,000 greenheads were using the canal.

The plant was built in ~1980 with a 40 year life.
Its days are numbered and so are ours.

AB it did not start commercially operating until 1987. Its operating license is what you are referencing is good for 40 years and expires September 29, 2026. I believe that can be renewed as the plant can operate longer than what it is permitted for. They have committed to keeping it open until then when the legislature passed The Future Energy Jobs Bill. I don't work there or have any affiliation with the location or company.
