Heard quite a few shots this morning

 

Pops wouldn’t lay off the spoonies. Hen sprig was a huge shoot time mistake cause we were covered all morning in sprig. Saw two wigeon total. If he had been patient he coulda got 6 gads and a sprig. Mostly sprig spoons and gads. His only limit since opening day so he was very happy

 

I’m still out here! Got a late start this morning. Have a greenhead, a GWT, a spoonie, and a pair of gadwall so far. Zero shooting where I’m at. Apparently not too many military folks interested in hunting public land. Everybody must have gone to the refuges!

 

Good morning where I was. Done about 9:30. 14 birds for 2 vets. Far fewer gads and widgeon then there were a couple of weeks ago. Pintail were thick and put on a good show.

Had a fun shoot this morning. 20 minute flight then it shut completely down. Puppy continues to make me smile.

 

Scratched out a hard seven. Boots was a phenom today.

 

Nothing else on the strap matters. Third band, second year in a row I got one. #5 shot was doing work on the big birds in the wind this morning.

 

Any info? Looks fresh
