Congrats on the Grand Rapids win dude.
The nerve of those damn judges
They just didn't like my style......
I can't say for sure, but I think Kile was surprised by the result. At least that's what it looked like to me. Especially considering I don't think he even saw the light in the third round. Looked pretty frustrated. Don't know this for a fact, just what it looked like from the "cheap seats".
Good job Kile. Sounded good.
I'd also like to add that Huff and Coppola sounded good as well. Don't know what the judges scored it like, but from the audience it sure seemed close between the three of them.
Thanks guys, I was VERY suprised to be honest. I thought Jake Huff, Joe Griffin and Mike sounded awesome and personally thought it was those 3 on top. As far as frustrated, I was extremly frustrated to say the least. Please mark your calenders for next year! We are trying to get this bigger, they have great prizes for the Youth and Novice contests and is a great stepping stone for anyone at that level trying to get their feet wet in the calling contest circuit. I know contests are not what they used to, but when they have a brand new gun being given to the winner of the novice contest you figure you would see more than 5!
The scores were real close.
Congrats to Kile! It was a fun contest, been a few years since I have been up there so it was nice to be back and hopefully I'll be back next year. It would be nice to see it moved to a bigger room and not one that kills the sound.
I was most impressed with a young kid that called in the novice named Cole not sure how old he is but he was ripping triple clucks like a pro.
Also congratulations to Robert Dick for winning the novice goose he sounded great!
Turned out to be a good contest, lots of fun..
Still looking for a new pair of sunglasses lol..
