Looking for reviews, I have an 11 week old Golden Retreiver that i have been working the basics with as of now, not started any retreiving work yet, mainly basic obedience (sit, heel, stay, come, place)

Cornerstone is different from 2 perspectives:
1) No e-collars
2) Focus on hunting instead of hunt test/field trials

I don’t mind the no e collar ordeal, starting collar conditioning to place next week, I plan to take a hybrid approach to it. I don’t plan to do trials or hunt tests with him, I just want a great family dog who will retrieve birds 3-5 times per year and give me a hobby around the house outside of driving 5+ hours to hunt with him.

my number one priority is having a dog that’s really good listening to what I ask, whether it be calling him to here, or sending him to his place, or just having him heel when those yappy rat dogs in the neighborhood bark at him

Pretty good retrieve wisdom about pups:

Cornerstone is designed for the first time dog owner that knows very little, and is a well designed, easy to follow, platform to walk someone through the steps to build a good gundog and good companion. It's in bite sized pieces and there's a very strong online support network from the CGA staff and from trainers using the system. It's not the best option if you want to run hunt tests, etc., although I know some folks who are getting HRCH titles on dogs using the program. But, if you want a competitive dog, I'd recommend Graham, Lardy or Hillman. Hillman's puppy stuff is good.

Two thoughts. First, reconsider beginning collar conditioning until your pup is much, much older. Second, pick whatever training program you are comfortable with and stick with it. A hybrid program will leave holes in the dogs progression that will be very difficult to fix.
