Couple of pics from the local duck stop last February

    2nd pic...near bottom left....3 drakes in a row up to down....go up to the next bunch of birds and slightly to the right, can you zoom in on that brown bird with the light blue bill

    Tim, Unless you're messing with me, :l, then probably a pintail or a small patch of water next to a mallard.

    Not messing with you...zoom in on it if you can....looks like it could be a hybrid....

    Yep...white tail feathers on a drake made it look like a bill at a distance

    CT, it cracks me up that you did the same thing I did, zoom in on the pics and look at individual birds. I checked for bands on standing birds, unusual birds, other species etc. It's nice to know that I'm not the only off-season sicko out there! :yes:tu:l

    I was surprised to see such a big bunch of mallards and pintails without a stray Widgeon, GW Teal, Gadwall, or other mixed in somewhere. Besides the geese, (and a few coots) I could only find mallards and pins.

    Did the same! Just like the pics in wildfowl of how many species can you find!
