I can't stand these type stories....

"My mother is in a nursing home, and they won't let me visit her."

Well, tell them your mother isn't staying there anymore, and bring her home.
Oh, you don't want to take care of her? So, who's fault is that, that the nursing home has rules?

That may not work for someone that is not capable of facilitating a nonagenarian.

The caretaker may possibly be disabled also. I’m 66 and in a wheelchair and couldn’t care for or bathe an elderly parent.

Rules of the individual nursing home are not the issue...Cuomo’s as governor requirement that nursing homes accept COVID patient returns is.

The article towards the bottom says Cuomo said either obey the directive or we’ll move the resident to a nursing home that will.

It’s a good thread Bear. Funny thing is I had actually said as much about Cuomo to my wife last week.

I firmly believe he’s indictable, and should be indicted.

Just a further hypothetical ONLY, but if someone had assassinated him after the first order, that had a relative in one of the care facilities, would that have been justifiable homicide?

It was kinda a trick question.

Logically, it’s 110% justifiable. Legally, it depends on if they could get tried outside of New York City. ;)

It wasn’t just Cuomo, a few states had that order I believe, most were recinded, but man, what a stupid directive: “ put our sickest, with our most vunerable”...:doh
