Outstanding! I don’t typically go out for the rifle season opener myself, been shot over too many times by yahoos with buck fever. I didn’t hear much shooting in the northern Bitterroot yesterday, but did see where something got dragged out of a nearby BMA I scouted in the afternoon.
Not much traffic on the Southern end. Normally, I see some animals in the back of pickups. With a foot of snow, pretty sure it wasn't easy trekking in the steep stuff.
I did the antelope thing up north of Malta on the 17th. I like hunting by myself but it was cold with the wind.
