All that aside, with Congress largely being the same characters, if Trump were elected in 2024 it would be 4 more years of chaos.

Add to that the bureaucracy that will go to great lengths to preserve itself, and the bureaucrats who cannot be eliminated, and the level of the swamp might go down an inch or two, but an inch or two in the level on a 1,000-acre swamp is minimal. The bureaucrats will enact "regulations" or "interpretations" faster than Trump can sign EO's, unless he absolutely eliminates agencies.

And while I do not want more regulations, and I am not a fan of either the EPA or USACoE, I also find it completely unacceptable that somehow with states like Iowa that have lost 95% plus of their historical wetlands, all of the education about how good they are, what a valuable part of the landscape they are, how they reduce flooding, help water quality, etc., Iowa farmers and farmers elsewhere are STILL tiling and draining them....and as a duck hunter, that directly impacts the duck population in the MS Flyway, as Iowa used to produce a significant number of ducks. Somehow we produce infinitely more corn, wheat, etc. than we need, but we have to keep plowing under that "marginal" ground to plant one more square foot according to those "stewards of the land".

I cannot imagine what would be done if some of the agencies were gutted or nonexistent.
It would help if they stopped using corn for ethanol. It's just heavily subsidized and doesn't make a lot of sense!!

First of all, what is your source for 'Roger Taney'?

Quantrill
"A republic, by which I mean a government in which the scheme of representation takes place, opens a different prospect and promises the cure for which we are seeking." (Federalist Papers #10, James Madison)

"The two great points of difference between a democracy and a republic are, first, the delegation of the government, in the latter, to a small number of citizens elected by the rest; secondly the greater number of citizens, and greater sphere of country, over which the latter may be extended." (Federalist Papers #10 James Madison)

"In the extent and proper structuer of the Union, therefore, we behold a republican remedy for the diseases most incident to republican government." (Federalist Papers #10, James Madison)

The point being we are a republican form of government and not a democracy.

Quan
Start with wikipedia.

Republican is the past tense of Republic as in Constitutional Republican.

President Lincoln was a Republican.

Again, what is your source for Roger Taney? Where does Wikipedia say Roger Taney was the Supreme Court Justice for the 1869 Texas vs White case?

And, again, Repubican form of government, a representaive form of government, is in contrast to 'democracy' which is by the mass. As I have showed by James Madison. Who happens to be one of the writers of the Constituion we are now under.

Big deal. Lincloln was of the 'republican party'. What is that supposed to mean?

You are making aggressive demands that indicate you have not even tried to search up what was pointed out.
I searched it up and learned something.
Thanks @JP

It sure would be nice it the Mods had some sort of "OFF-TOPIC" thread, where they could move this bullsheet & let discussions stay on point.

Well, perhaps I am not hijacking this thread. Perhaps 'dismantling the deep state' is contending with some of the very issues the South was contending with back in the 19th century. Just like I said earlier, these issues will always return because the divide in 1861 was settled by military force.

In other words, the old addage, the only thing we learn from history is we never learn anything from history, is true.

Strange isn't how that the Red States and Blue States still, overall, follow the old Mason Dixon line.

Right now I’m trying to be patient, but indeed there are options including a final resting place purgatory.

Cap’n, mea culpa for engaging the poster child of obtuseness.
