I worked with a guy for 34 years who is friends with the owner of DB. I remember him telling me about that group some years ago as they were getting started. I laughed....it just seemed like there was nothing new under the sun for decoys and starting a new decoy company didn't seem like the best business venture. Looks like I was wrong. I don't own any DB decoys, but I have hunted over them....I doubt I could tell you the difference between those and other goose decoys....but I'm not a goose hunter.

As I said....I haven't seen their videos...but I rarely watch any videos of waterfowl hunting. If the big knock is that they huntin a big group and hoot and holler when birds die.....man, I don't care at all about that....in fact, more power to them. It's a damn site better than all of the forking whining from waterfowlers that usually makes up the biggest part of any discussion.

I hope the DB guys make a fortune and kill a giant pile......and laugh about it for years....or, fork those guys for having fun. :l :l :l

I don’t condone what they did but if you only want a certain number of birds shot, the law should state that.
Perhaps, my Scottish cousins count on common sense and general decency to be in play.

Disclaimer: I am a decoy addict.

One of the guys on our lease is a fan of DB’s and we’ve hunted over them a couple times. Other than ease of deploying and retrieval I don’t see all the hoopla. There’s a now deceased waterfowler (the Obi Wan Kenobe of lake Eufaula) that probably took more geese in his lifetime than a dozen of us here that hunted light geese with five (5) FB decoys.

The new ownership of G&H decoys here in Henryetta are striving to bring that brand back from dormancy. I understand that RSG will be carrying them in their catalog this upcoming season.

Been checking my Chinese made decoys for tracking devices implanted therein!

Anybody not understanding the hate divebomb gets needs to see the video of them shooting into a 500+ bird flock of wigeon and getting more than 50 birds....all drakes even though you could see wounded hens hitting the ground and running off. They still swore they got an 8 man limit of drakes from that flock. Stupid thing to post and expect anyone that isn't a fanboy to believe.

Divebomb is the master of marketing. They've created a brand that appeals to the younger generation and thus have thousands upon thousands of people advertising for them on social media and in return get nothing. It's genius. I do see them deleting comments of criticism often on their social media pages and being very defensive if they let any comments live. Obviously doesn't affect their sales. I made the mistake of saying something about their headlamp costing astronomically more because of it's logo one day and Ashur got all worked up on Facebook. It was actually a comment in refrence to their marketing skills but he took it the wrong way. I've always been 100% open to critcism and have changed our callers/audio multiple times as a result of that type of feedback and will continue to operate that way as I start to expand my product line this year quite immensely. Product wise they haven't came out with anything "new" really since their silo bag. It's just copy and paste IMO with a minor change here and there but the waterfowl industry as a whole is like that. They're making an absolute pile of money and will continue to as they are now expanding into floaters, full bodies, clothing, boots, etc. They're the new Avery. Personally, I choose to spend my money elsewhere like Real Geese but if they ever release something that I want I'll buy it. People not liking them because their products are made in China I guess don't buy any other brands either? Because 98% of every waterfowl product is produced in a foreign country.

I’m right with you. When will it ever be enough for folks like this? I’d like to think all the birds in the huge pile pics are put to good use but I’m afraid too many end up in a dumpster or road ditch. It shows a serious lack of respect for the resource and does nothing but jeopardize the future of the sport.

What makes you think the game they kill is not eaten? Just curious.

Basing it off a lifetime of experience of what me and my family can utilize and wondering what someone who’s “job” is hunting does with all the birds they shoot. Maybe they have a huge family or a lot of friends to gift them to but when I see reports of birds thrown in a ditch or dumpster it seems like that’s a viable option too.
