    Who here uses them?

Having never targeted them, there's an area that's holding lots this year. Cans, Redheads, & Scaup. We've started changing dekes and would like to try sway them our way.

Recommend me a diver call and some tips.

Same with Gadwalls. They are everywhere.this year. Mallards are in the area, but we are seeing more Gads and divers than anything right now. I've tried using Mallard hen calls, and would like a call specifically Gadwall, so again, asking for tips & suggestions.

    Thanks!

Gaddy's react very well to a mallard call. Infact better than mallards most times.

For Gadwalls I like the big, ugly Duck Commander Gadwall Drake call. As Phil himself says, ā€œUgly but deadly.ā€ :tu

Know few are as into new toys as waterfowlers, but it's easy to get diver "brr"s from a mallard call by using your soft pallet, as if starting to gargle, as well as mimic drake gadwall beeps with short "deep"s into a mallard call. That, and while an awful lot of folks unintentionally sound more like hen gadwall while trying to sound like mallard hens, I've found purposely doing so to have more leverage on grays than imitating the drakes.

About gadwalls. They rarely finish for me.
If they pass close enough to shoot take em.
Theyre not going to decoy in general.
    Good luck.

Even a cat can deceive mocking birds.

I have used the haydels diver call. To me it makes the brrr sound easy and effective

Divers...calling is unnecessary and mostly useless. Cans respond to a mallard call, that's about it.
Gadwalls...just need a regular duck call. They are sometimes odd ducks...sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. The sound or type of decoys, etc has no influence on them...in my opinion.
