no shoes, no shirt no mask no service here in Texas
Yep, sold for 5 billion.
IIRC, they own two large packing houses in Nebraska and Chinese nationals were flying in and out of Omaha and Lincoln as late as mid-January.
YUP!!! Along with Eckrich and another company that produces pork products. The pork is going to be produced here, the product will be produced in China.
I quit buying Eckrich a long time ago. For the price and quality their products I might have just as well bought some cheap off brand. Smithfield bacon used to be pretty good. I will not buy it any more.
Originally started in the town one town over from me. Headquarters is actually Madison, TN in an area known as Rivergate. Good friend works out if headquarters for a supplier to DG.
Needless to say there are plenty around here. The DG market is like a super DG with groceries and beer.
I have a hunt camp in a small town in eastern NC, maybe 400 people live there and the DG is the only place within 30 minutes to get any kind of simple supplies.
^^^^^That way in a lot of small towns.
Last time I went into a DG was for one of those stupid secret santa gift swaps. Limit was $15.
So I bought 15 of the most random $1 items that DG had. The "gift" included a golf club and ladies undergarnents among 13 other essentials. I'm done.
I was desperate for Copenhagen once so I stopped and the DG. All they had was a can of Kodiak that was so dry you could have used it as a babies’ rattler.
