Yes. It's one of my favorite (hunting) days of the year. Western shore, cut corn.
Five man limit by 1:10 lots of birds damn I forgot my GoPro to post on YouTube. Now moving to golf course rats this afternoon.
Fortunate to get an invite from a friend to hunt his place. We got a late start waiting for couple of the kids to finish up their on-line schooling but it was steady shooting till we called it quits at 3:30. had not been dove hunting in a while and thought the limit was 12. got my 12 early and took the dog down to help retrieve some doves that others had sailed into the bean field. when asked if I got my limit I said yup, got my 12 and they said the limit is 15. although it was hot it could've been a lot hotter than it was. brought plenty of water for the dog but was a bit worried about her overheating. enjoyed the intermittent sun and clouds where we were at.
Waiting on Youtube video of the golf course hunts to start popping up...
Might have a dove video in the works for ya Smackdown, got ya covered!
between my friend and his daughter they ended up with a banded dove. heard or some rare finds on doves but never saw one in person. be interesting to see where it was banded and when. started a discussion between several guys about how long a dove lives. was surprised to hear on average no more than 2 years.
Don’t forget has to be public ground and maybe mix up the music a little.. maybe Money for nothing from Dire Straits
