I have been in and around the Delta for the past week, hauling firewood and fixing blinds. Even with the rain we have gotten recently, it is really, really dry. Probably as dry as I have ever seen it. Other than us, I don't see any pumps running, or pumped areas. I wonder if folks are waiting on farmers, or if the folks that used to hunt the north delta all picked up and moved to Mizzou and Oklahoma? Anyway, good luck to all.

I need to go back up this weekend and see if we are holding any water yet, or if the ground is just sucking it up.

An opener like this, makes me wish I had a skinny water boat, go-devil set-up or similar.

I know how to get biblical rainfall..........................go purchase a rig and finance it for seven years.

Floodstage every year for seven years. I may have to fall on the grenade for the team and just do it.

Yes - Still kickin' but need to have my eyes checked and prescription/lenses updated. From my last visit to the gun range, my eye dominance has shifted slightly which might be frustrating on a hunt where every shot counts (i.e., so few 'working' birds in the last 22 years).

That last rain should've put a little water in some spots.

ANT!!!!!
Glad to see you are still kicking sir.

And GC, if you are not holding a ton of water after last night's tornado party, you have no hope for the season.
