I am seriously considering some wind socks. Had SO many dip, and split when just out of comfortable range, I am started to think we were "duck hidden" but not "speck hidden."

I remember those. Don’t wallow the mud anymore. Too old. Just do boat hunts anymore and not much of that. Glad to hear from you again, Anatidea!

Likewise! I like the mallard shells and stakes - 'good-ole Mississippi ingenuity. We don't use ours down here because we boat hunt, exclusively. But they're very effective for providing motion in an otherwise stagnant spread. All my shell decoys are in Canada, anyway. Good pics - nice dog! Happy Hunting!

So, the forecast for Thursday night has gone from a low of 15, to 10, to now 2.......then 17, 20, and 24 the next 3 nights. 'Could get exciting or frustrating depending on what you're set-up for.

I'm set up for Christmas at grandma's house. Hopefully a few get pushed down and hang around for the thaw next week
