I really think there is a very good chance that most public ground will still be closed. He is a tyrant(nicest word I can us on here) with an agenda I can only hope the this will wake the people of illinois up when its time to vote but that will take time.

On the state area I hunt I could see them not having a drawing and just staking the blind
sites. Then have a drawing every day for the blind stakes.Gotta hunt from a boat blind.

Or, like Kyle said they may just keep it closed.

It won't be good no matter what they do.You know you can never please a duck hunter.

Myself, I'm going to trap this year.

I think Prikster will shut it down like he did the spring hunting and fishing. I don't think this state is capable of setting up an online or mail in option in time, unless they've already started, which I really doubt. Not high on their priorities. He won't let it go to daily draws since that would "jeopardize" social distancing as would staked blinds or first come first served. His opinion, not mine. I wouldn't mind seeing it go to last years' blind holders since I was on a good blind and would love a second chance at the spot, but I really think he'll just shut it all down on public grounds. For social distancing's sake.

I'm afraid all I hunt is state property for ducks, and mostly for pheasant. I should probably get my *** out and contacting farmers to pheasant hunt. Looks like that may be my only alternative.

Prickster lives in Chicago. He obviously cares or knows nothing about hunting or hunters. The director, literally, doesn't have the nads to buck his inner circle of advisors. Thus, those of us who depend on state areas for hunting anything are gonna get screwed.

That’s really funny, ( the director doesn’t have the nads) I was signed up to Idnr direct and the last 4 emails I got were collene talking about walks in the woods , picking apples ,going to museums, and now enjoying the fresh new leaves on the trees and watching the birds . Finally got me so sick I had to unsubscribe! if you think this administration gives a rats ### about hunting or fishing .your invited to go shark fishing in Lake Michigan !

Ralph I follow idnr on facebook. It's a bunch of the same BS. I try to comment on every post about the nonsense they are pulling. Not sure if it helps but it makes me feel better for a little bit
