I think a old wood window for the cabinet door might be nice to keep the dust off the shelves and calls.

Or make a window frame out of old wood?
You know what, you're onto something here though. I think I may just explore this a little more instead of doing my original idea. I have a TON Of 1x2 wood pieces laying around from other projects on the house. I bet I could make a light weight stained wood door with the acrylic front. I can screw the hinges and the magnet into the wood instead of trusting 3m sticky tape and if there is a rough edge from the cut, it would be hidden from the wood border.

Think I just got motivated to get this done this weekend.

Did a pallet wall many years ago on my house previous to the one I own now. I took left over wood and built one myself. I stained a few 2x4’s to make the frame. Drilled holes evenly and used small dowels for call holders. Wish I didn’t do that tho. Just left the boards flat. I’ll be adding an acrylic glass door to it very soon to help keep dust down. But I just hang it off the wall and screw it into studs. Contemplating building another one soon.

Pigeon bands???
Ya I’ve killed a few….
Was really fortunate to hunt a dairy close to my home for 8 years. Covid finally got to it and it shut down. But this was my off season fun before I found bass fishing.

It was actually pretty unreal how many I could kill in a summer. From second week of April to mid June, it was nothing to go out and shoot 5-7 a day. One of my mentors who taught me a lot about waterfowling actually raised pigeons as a child and did the whole homing pigeon game. I took him twice and both times he called a band out of flocks. Told me what to look for, how they flew differently. So being out there every weekend for months every summer, I developed a keen eye for it as well.

@craig wilson which pic is newer or most recent? My reaction to both….

Holy Lares! What a collection. Would love to get my hands on one of those checkered calls or an A3.

In the first pic, what’s that aluminum call front and center, maybe an aluminum daisy cutter (wow)? And I see a few Rnt’s on that wall I’d love to get my hands on one day or similar (40th anniversary would a good pickup if those are daisy cutters). Love the hobo purple icu2, had a hobo moment many years ago. Looking to add a redbone and Richland soon. Never killed many specks in my state but they’re slowly a growing population. If my serves correctly, looks to be maybe a few older gatson calls… maybe? Also, there’s a goose call I can’t identify, maybe you can help. You have 2, second shelf down, one in blue/green and teal. What might those be Mr. Wilson?
