i see there is a early goose season on the southeastern side of the state. My pup is going back to the trainer in Preston week after next. Thought I'd scout the area while I was there and see if I could locate some geese, never been, was looking for some advice/suggestions! Thanks

    Is your trainer a she?
My daughters lab will be headed down there as soon as she shows
I dont think Preston is in the early unit
You are somewhat limited by waters, Idaho doesn't have much The small rivers my have geese working up and down. Then Bear, Greys lakes and Blackfoot Reservoir areas
The early season is during archery elk so I dont even think geese
Do you want field or water or anythign

My trainer is a she, I'm actually going there this afternoon. Talk to F&G, spoke to officer who patrols there who is a big waterfowler. He gave me a lot of intel on the ins/outs of the early goose season.
